Our mission is to create a place where communities interact, thrive and become economically empowered. We want to build an environment that is safe for everyone and one where authenticity is celebrated. Our community guidelines state the type of content and activities that we don’t allow on our platform. These guidelines are our acceptable use policy, so if you find content that shouldn’t be on Hubble, please report it to us. We use your reports to learn and evolve our standards, and work with subject matter experts to inform and update our guidelines.

Guidelines

Following is the type of content, activities and interactions that we don’t allow on our platform.

  • Realistic portrayals of people or animals being killed, maimed, tortured, or abused, or content that encourages violence.

  • Overtly sexual or pornographic material, defined as “explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings.” We do not allow facilitating prostitution, or human trafficking and exploitation.

  • Defamatory, discriminatory, or hateful content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups, particularly if the app is likely to humiliate, intimidate, or harm a targeted individual or group. Satirists and humorists are generally exempt from this requirement.

  • False information including but not limited to hate-based conspiracy theories and misinformation or content that promotes fear, hate or prejudice including inflammatory or misleading religious commentary.

  • Depictions that encourage illegal use of weapons.

  • Content that is intended to disgust, or just plain creepy.

  • Content or actions intended to insult, hurt or antagonize individuals or groups of people. There are good reasons to express criticism, but we may limit the distribution of or remove content to keep the platform to be a positive, inspiring place. Content such as the following are examples of content that may be removed: manipulated images intended to degrade or shame, shaming people for their bodies or assumed sexual or romantic history, name-calling, profanity and other insulting language or imagery.

  • Spam.

In addition, the platform does not tolerate child sexual exploitation of any kind. That means we enforce a strict, zero-tolerance policy for any content—including imagery, video, or text— or accounts that might exploit or endanger minors. We prohibit not just illegal child sexual abuse material (CSAM), but further prohibit any content that contributes to the sexualization of minors, including in imagery and text.

We don’t allow accounts that impersonate or misrepresent their affiliation with any person or organization.

Users or admins can report content or other users, and we will remove, filter, or block content or users to enforce the community guidelines.
